Floating Implant Issue
A floating silicone implant refers to a condition where the nasal implant is unstable and can shift or move, particularly at the nasal bridge near the inner corners of the eyes (nasal root) and the nasal tip. The degree of movement varies depending on the individual case.
In more severe cases, the silicone implant may visibly protrude or appear raised along the nasal bridge. This can lead to common complications such as a crooked or deviated nose, and thinning of the nasal tip. These issues are among the most frequent reasons patients seek revision rhinoplasty.
